It is mainly used as a inoculant for cast iron. Calcium silicon alloy has a strong reducing ability, and also uses a deoxidizer that acts well as steel. Since calcium is very active at steelmaking temperature, the effect is not easy to stabilize, and a certain reducer should be added.
